Vinnie

Vinnie is my Cut Man and my chief motivator when I'm in the heat of battle. He's kind of like my version of Drew Bundini Brown, who himself wasn't a cut man, but was Muhammad Ali's corner man who doubled as his motivator/psychologist/straight man. Remember, Bundini came up with the famous "Rumble, young man, rumble" line that he and Ali would always yell together whenever the cameras were rolling. Vinnie's not as loud or as wild and crazy as Bundini was, but he knows exactly what to say in the corner to get my attention if he sees something I'm doing during the fight that might leave me exposed to danger.

Of course, as a cut man, his primary responsibility is to close any cuts I might get during a fight, and to stop blood from flowing into my eyes if I should ever get a cut above the eye, especially form a head butt, which can be especially bloody. He's one of the very best at closing cuts and, fortunately for me, I haven't had to see just how good he is in too many fights. Let's hope it stays that way!
